The actual day of gokulashtami celebration can be on two different days as the star 'Rohini' and Ashtami may not be on the same day. we celebrated on 14th of August.
we dont have Krishnas in my collection, we collected everything
I decorated the front yards and floors of my home with kolams . For Krishna Jayanthi my little one's tiny feet as Baby Krishna coming from front door into the home.It resembles the lord himself has come home. It looks beautiful and children invited for the celebration love to place their feet on the tiny one's feet and pretend they are Krishna.
I placed lord in the prepared cradle and rock the cradle him as she celebrated in my childhood.

all the ladies read vasudhevasutham whoch is sloka to praise lord
i had done sravana sukravaram puja and called all married ladies to take thambulam and we all read 'Lallitha sahasram' after that i kept naivedhyam as of 15 varieties to lord ,and panchamrutham to lord krishna.Enjoy the pictures here
